Caveat: I know this may scandalize some of the fans of this homily, so just make sure you” onclick=”return TrackClick(”,’javascript%3ApopupWindow%28′)”re not unmarried and in mixed company, than you can download the pictures of this entry.
Found these humorous objets d” onclick=”return TrackClick(”,’javascript%3ApopupWindow%28′)”art at I HEART GUTS, and thought fertility fans would find them kitschy and cute! The menstrual cycle poster is not perhaps the most accurate portrayal of the cycle, but they have the general idea. Do you think Dr. Hilgers would do a corrected version of it?! Hilarious.

Perhaps it’s my background in bio, but I found these absolutely hilarious! I love stuff like this. I think my favorite is the kidney — it’s my favorite internal organ.
Jess, the “this homily” link leads to a 404
Ha I love it! You know there just may be a market for a “teen” correct version of this. I have young girls coming to me bc a local doc wants to put them on the BC pill due to painful cycles. Sometimes the “adult” material is a little too deep. This would be great!
It’s the “Priest accuses” entry below. Thanks for the head’s up, though. I’ll fix it.
LOL cute! I was looking at Toddler books on the subject the other day so I’m sure you can just imagine how bad that was… I was rolling. Is a good idea though.
Kat, I love that you have a favorite internal organ! Why the kidney? Now you know what to get your bio friends who have everything!
I love it! Thanks for sharing.
*Somebody* with a business degree, creativity and fertility knowledge should get on that–Nicole!
Scandalized? Not! Back when we were active teachers of NFP at our local Catholic parish (most of the students were mainstream protestants or new agey back to nature types) I probably would’ve bought the place out.
Only with the benefit of hindsight can I see how silly something like this is, albeit harmless.
Phew! So glad you’re not scandalized, although it wasn’t really a serious caveat if one detected the tongue in my cheek. I’m glad that you think this is silly. That’s precisely why I love it, and precisely why frankly so many self titled “traditionalists” come across as dour devoted. (btw, all faithful Catholics are traditionalists; their faith is based in Tradition.) They often take what’s not meant to be serious as serious, when GK Chesterton would assure us that there’s nothing to be taken so seriously as being silly.
I LOVE it! That poster is a SCREAM! And such a coincidence when you consider that SANTA put a pair of these in my stocking from the same seller:

Love, love, LOVE it!
