Came across a great post about how to get my posts on demand without manually checking back every day. A couple different ways to get me automatically:

1. Sign up for email posts by clicking the “Sign up for email” link in the upper right hand of the blog.
2. Google Reader (better if you have multiple blogs you follow, especially if they post often)
3. RSS Feed (The blog and new entries are bookmarked in your Internet browser)

Reminder to those Google Readers already subscribed: have you reset your “follow” address from nfpworks.wordpress.com to the new domain, nfpworksblog.com? This helps me to keep track of how many Google friends I’ve got, so it’s much appreciated!

Many engaged and married couples are familiar with The Knot, a well put together wedding planning ezine site. Sometime in the last couple years, The Knot developed two spin-off sites, The Nest and the Bump, ezines on home and pregnancy/family, respectively.

Last year I found a forum post promoting NFP on the Nest, which was a little secular miracle. Now, just to make up for it, I found a recent post and discussion on sister site The Bump that contains the usual doubts, prejudice and skepticism about NFP.

The ensuing conversation has the usual, “You have to have regular cycles,” “It doesn’t work,” and other NFP misinformation.  There are a few NFP Muskateers in the convo bringing a little sense to the replies, but they’re a little outnumbered.Would you help join the conversation? (The catch is that if you’re not already a registered user of the Bump, there’s a two day waiting period after you register. If you want a little reminder from me in a couples days, shoot me an email.)

On Google Reader, NFPworks has 55 subscribers–regular readers in the Google account.

How do you subscribe? If you have a Google account, you just go to the upper left hand corner and click “Reader.” If you don’t see it, click “more,” and you’re there. Next, click “add a subscription,” and search “NFPworks” or another favorite blog. Make sure you’re following the main blog (the web page should just read www.nfpworks.wordpress.com), not a specific entry because if you just follow an entry, you’ll just get the updates on that one entry/ it’s comments.
